I’ve been away from the blog for a bit and I am so sorry.  I just couldn’t seem to keep my head on straight after the run of illnesses we’ve had around here.  My friend Lisa described it perfectly.  Plagues.

All three of us have  officially had the stomach virus.  Two of us had the head cold.  And one of us had a kidney stone.  (Can you say "Bonus!"?)   I was spared the cold but got the added blessing of reliving my labor experience via my little stone, a tiny one but none the less! 

In other words, I’m tired and wore out and just a bit down in the dumps after being stuck in the house, often stuck in bed, for many days.  Today the sun came out and it was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.  I almost refused to go back inside.  Then the windstorm started.  (Ack!)

I did manage to do some knitting.  I finished the right front of the cardi, I turned the heels and picked up the gusset stitches on the Jaywalkers and I’ve been sewing up Dana’s birthday present (Yeah…. remember that thing????).  I have discovered that the birthday sweater will fit in the body but will likely have sleeves that are WAAAAAAAY too long.  I’ll need to do a bit of redneck engineering on them.

So, that’s the update from these parts.  I think I’ll be back in my posting mode now.  Or at least I hope so.
