I cast on another pair of socks. I’m trying my first pair of Jaywalkers . I’m using
brief interruption….
(ok, I am so not kidding you that I just promised on my last post to keep up with my yarn bands and I go to write what the name of the yarn is and…. NO YARN BAND. Had to stop, look. I found the thing. I will do better. I will do better.)
OK. I’m using KnitPicks Sock Garden in the Star Gazer Lily colorway. (Lets all remember that folks, just in case I lose the yarn band. Not that I’m planning to, just in case.)
Although the pattern calls for you to use dpn’s, I’m doing the 2 socks on 2 circs thing. So far, so good. This may come back to haunt me when I get to the heel instructions or something. But, if so, I’ve gained some experience in applying my redneck engineering skills to my knitting. In other words, we’ll figure it out. I’ll complain about it but I’ll figure it out.
The colors on the photo aren’t true to the actual colors. Star Gazer Lily is the PERFECT name for this colorway. It has various tones of pinks and yellows. The exact pink tones and ratio of pink to yellow as you would find on a star gazer lily. (Can ya tell I like star gazers…. I’m allergic to them but plant them anyway.) Anyway, the colors make me muy happy.
Ooooh and aaaah. I have some KP’s Sock Garden in Pansy, waiting patiently next in line. I love how yours are turning out…might just have to cast on tonight for some. ;o)
