If you hadn’t already figured this out, this post will just convince you that…..
A. I’m easily impressed
B. I don’t get out much
C. Both A & B
First up….. a new happy place for a happy belly. Washington readers will likely fall over dead because not only am I just thrilled over this, I’m so thrilled I’m posting about it. I have discovered…… Taco Time. Its a happy place. Happy. Sooooooo happy. The light lunch. The freakishly huge taco that is in no way a light lunch item. The sugary chip things. Happy.
Next….. praise God in heaven I found a Target. A Target that I can actually locate. Without Dana’s screwball extremely helpful driving directions. My ‘Lil E’ arrived from Florida on Tuesday so AG and I are FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I got on the ol’ internets, looked up Target and found that there is one in a town who’s name I know and think I can locate (Bonney Lake) and it’s on a road that I know and know how to get to (Hwy 410). Get in the car Anna Grace…. Momma’s gettin’ a Target fix. (F.Y.I. Y’all’s Washington Targets have a bit bigger selection than my Central Florida Targets.)
Off we went. What a cool drive. The Target was great. Then I kept driving west so I could see where Sumner was. All of a sudden I was on the top of this big hill and I had this amazing view of a large portion of the Olympic mountains. That’s the first time I’ve seen them since I arrived and they were breathtaking. It was about that time that I got a bit lost.
Ya see…. 410 kinda, sorta, suddenly merges into another highway. So, next thing I know I’m en route to Tacoma. Oops. So I got off at the next exit… which is another highway (these folks call them freeways. Ongoing debate in this house… these are not freeways. Dana says freeways are "free" highways. I say freeways are roads with big concrete interchanges like you see in L.A. ).
Anyway I am now on another highway (freeway) and all I want to do is pop a u-ey. There’s no little turn-a-round (idiot loop) thingy. Apparently they don’t want Touristy Washington Wannabe’s such as myself making U-turns. Eventually I got off at an exit that was just a road. Not a highway. Not a freeway. Just a road. I was then able to get back on the highway/freeway/road heading back toward #410.
The drive back to Enumclaw was just as stunning. At one point the road looks like its driving right into the middle of Mt. Rainier. Amazing.
The unhappy part of this adventure? No camera with me.
