It was my intention to get the Manos shawl and Dana’s sweater both on the blocking board this weekend. Yes… that does mean I finally finished the last sleeve on Dana’s sweater. I went round and round and couldn’t get motivated to block these FO’s or almost FO’s and then it occurred to me…. the house was going to be appraised today so it would probably be better if I waited until tonight. So I did. Here’s the manos shawl on the blocking board…..
But Dana’s sweater isn’t being blocked. Why? No room at the inn. The shawl took up most of my usuable blocking space and used more than half of my pins. So, I’ll have to block Dana’s sweater after this dries. Meanwhile…..
I’m working on this:
Excuse the color. If I use the flash you can see the yarn colors but not the stitches. No flash gives you the stitches but no colors. What’re ya gonna do?
This is the cabled sock design from Sockbug that I was working on before the holidays. I had tweeked around a bit and figured out how to knit this on DPN’s instead of 2 circs since the 2 circ thing was making me say unlady like things. Since the holidays however, I think I could do the 2 circ thing. We’ll see. I know this is knitting heresy but I may finish this one on the dpn’s and do sock 2 on the circs. If its a huge disaster I can frog.
Well… I’m off to bed and knitting and warm covers….. *smile*
The shawl looks beautiful. BTW, congrats on the house…I hope everything worked out today!
Yes — house news!!
I really like your shawl. It will be snuggly and cozy, definitely. And I also think the sock looks cool. One day I will have the chutzpah to knit a sock with something other than a ribbed top!
Love the shawl – are we going to get a pic of it on you? Umm… does you daughter’s play table thing have sand on the one side? That might explain the cat’s interest – you might want to check it out and see if it has been used as a potty.
