I Blame Dana

As you have read I fell asleep during the best part of the Rose Bowl.  Normally I would’ve fought against this but the previous evening I think I slept a total of 2 to 3 hours.

Tuesday night I got all worked up over the Orange Bowl… a game that went to nearly 1 a.m.  OK… so I take responsibility for that part.  I was so excited it was a bit hard to settle down to go to sleep but eventually I started to doze off.  Then the noise started.  The snoring noise.

So  my sleep attempt went as follows:

1. Lay on left side
2. Turn to right side
3. Start to fall asleep
4. Hear that gawd-awful noise
5. Slug Dana in the center of chest
6. Yell "ROLL OVER YOU’RE SNORING!!!!!"
7. Repeat

I think I did nearly 20 cycles of this.  Then Dana’s alarm went off and he left for the airport.  Guess what happened then?  I have no idea because I fell into a deep and dreamy sleep… immediately.

So, the evidence is clear.   I was awake most of the night not because of the Orange Bowl but because of some obnoxious bellowing noise emitting from Dana’s body.  This resulted in excess fatigue which, as we now know, led to me missing the best part of the Rose Bowl.

I think this is a good enough case to get somebody to buy me bowl game tickets for next year!!!  What think?

  1. Oh, That Noise! I, too, hate That Noise. So I poke Shaun to make him roll over and stop making That Noise, and he gets mad at me?! I don’t get it. He started it!
