Would really love to show you a completed Milkweed Shawl. Really… I would. But ya see… I’m kinda stuck on the last chart. My stitch count isn’t right, I can’t figure it out for the life of me. I checked for errata (with that uber cocky “it’s not me, it’s them” feeling) only to discover there is no errata for the delightful last chart that I may have called many undelightful things. In other words… it’s me, Baby. It ain’t “them”.
And so it sits, alone, smelling like the interior of a zip lock bag (because… ya know… zip locks are my knitting bag – o – choice!).
I’m sure if I had a brain cell or two or five that I might be able to figure out my…ahem… issue. But since I don’t posses a brain cell, much less two or five…. I’m hopelessly stuck.
I hate stuck.
It sucks to be stuck.
That is all……
I’m sorry, my dear! If you want to fly on over here, we could either try to sort it out, and failing that, burn it in the backyard. My neighbor has a new firepit in the yard, and it’s calling my name…
Chris, Have you looked on ravelry to see if there were other knitters who’ve struggled? Don’t give up until you check the Milkweed projects. Lace shawls are my new thing. So much fun (and sometimes, so frustrating).
i made Milkweed earlier this summer and had the same problem you did. one of my knitbuds suggested that i write out each line of the last chart on index cards. when i charted out each repeat separately instead of following the *, that’s where i found my problem. you can check my project on Ravelry. my Rav name is passionknit. you can also check my blog.
i hope this helps. feel free to email me with other questions.
