Earlier today Anna Grace and I were working on her spelling words for the week.  For reasons I don’t understand, one of her spelling words for this week is kill.  (Don’t ask!).  So, we worked on the word a little bit and then AG asked “Mommy, what’s kill mean?”.  I told her that kill is when you hurt someone so much that they die.

Anna Grace accepted this explanation and went on about her business but I could tell that her wheels were spinning.  After a few minutes she looked at me and asked “Mommy, did you kill Rover?”.  I assured her that I did not kill Rover, that Rover just died.  Then she asked “Did you want to?”.
