Madeline

Carved in honor of us finishing Madeline by  Ludwig Bemelmans (1939).

My sweetie pie and I (I? Me? C’mon grammer police…which is it?) will plant this letterbox later this week.

  1. That is gorgeous! I love Madeline.

grammar: it’s “I”. The easy trick is to figure out what you would use if you were talking about just you, not you and another person. Like, you wouldn’t say “me will plant this letterbox later this week”.

    p.s. love the shades!

  2. FYI, its “I”. Cate is correct in that if you would use “I” alone, then it’s still I when paired with another. Your stamps are cute! Have fun with your Sweetie Pie.

  3. I love it!! You did a great job. I think you need to post to the homeschooling board that you are doing these letterboxes along with FIAR. I’m not even doing FIAR and can’t wait to go letterboxing and get the stamps in our book.

  4. Boy, I haven’t read Madeline since I was a child. What a great book! And those shades are really rad! (I heard a much younger, very cool woman at the salon use that word today, so I think it’s OK!)
