Latest update… the buyer of our house is supposed to be dropping the price on her house. Turns out she got her mortgage approval based on the hope that she would sell her house for a particular amount. That amount is still too high for her neighborhood. Anyway, she was supposed to be talking to her lender today and finding out how low she can go on her house and still get the mortgage approved. But… nobody is calling anybody with any updates. I think this is getting ready to crash and burn.
The buyer repeatedly tells our realtor that she wants us to be assurred that she is very "serious" and she’s doing all she can. Let’s review….
1. She priced her house for 1/2 a mil in the month of December.
2. She priced her house about 50 grand too high.
3. She decided to not have her open house when scheduled and to, instead, have it a week later…. even closer to Christmas.
4. She has yet to return any phone calls from our realtor in a timely manner.
5. She waited 8 days to put her house on the market in the first place.
If this is being "serious" I’d hate to see what this chic does when she doesn’t really give a hoot.
I am preparing myself for the fact that we’re likely going to lose the house in Enumclaw and be floundering again. I surely hope not, it’s the best house we’ve found out there.
We need a miracle. Not your garden variety… the sun rose… a flower bloomed… kind of miracle. I need a "parting of the Red Sea" kind of miracle. Quickly!!!!
It is the season for miracles but that would be a major one. I hope everything comes through. And as a side note, I would hire her as my realtor.
