Debi answered my pattern/knitting question and today while AG had speech I finished the shoulder shaping and piece  #1 is off the needles.  Thanks, Debi.

Piece #2 has not changed in size in anyway since last night.  I’m hoping to do some work on it before heading to bed. 

I am thinking about signing up for a private knitting lesson when it’s time to stitch this thing up.  I try to do nice seams…  but I just don’t have the skill yet.  If I was the one wearing it I might just do my best and call it done.  But, since it’s a gift I want it to look as nice as possible.  So I’m thinking of seeing if I can get a private knitting lesson at the LYS or something and have he/she (see how good I’m being… I acknowledged that it could be a "he"…. although unlikely.  Just makin’ sure you see I’m not being sexist.) walk me through the seaming and finishing.  We’ll see.   At this rate this thing won’t be ready for seaming until spring.

Maybe it should be an Easter gift!!!!!!
