I thought about carding the fleece a little bit but things never progressed from there.

Presents are bought, wrapped, shipped.  I have a few stocking stuffers to buy but essentially…we’re done.

Work in Progress: Anna Grace’s school party

The preschool held a “Happy Birthday, Jesus” party on Friday.  I had volunteered in a very calculated way during earlier events.  My plan?  Not volunteer for the Christmas party.  That didn’t work out.  Because I had volunteered for the other 2 events, they just went ahead and wrote my name down for the Christmas party.  Oh well.

I cast on for the right front of the sweater and am just starting to turn the hem.  No pictures at this time.

Work in Progress: Five in a Row

This week we’re reading The Story of Ferdinand.  We hung corks from the tree in the back yard and sat under it….just like Ferdinand sitting under his cork tree.  Dana and Anna Grace acted out being a matador and the “bee incident” from the book.  We even learned about Spain and the Iberian Peninsula.  All in all, we’ve had a good week with F.I.A.R.

It was last night and the kids did great.    They sang 5 songs, got lots of applause and then had dessert.

Work in Progress:  Dana’s Career Detour

All is well.  Dana is still looking at starting his own business but he is looking for a job as well.  We think he’ll need to work while a new business grows.  He has some good leads and some of them are actually in Florida.  I’m not looking forward to another move but I’m trying to wrap my head around the possibility.

In all, we’re over the shock and pretty calm around here when it comes to his job.  Just trying to enjoy his little “vacation” and use the time wisely.
