Yesterday was just a regular day…except for one little exception. We were at church, all was going well, and then they made an announcement. A couple from our church was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and, in honor of that occasion, had asked if they could come forward after the church service and renew their wedding vows.
They had a few family members there and Adrian (the bride) was in a beautiful outfit. Lovely flowers and a smiling groom…. It was all very sweet and very special. I think I may have gone into the “ugly cry”.
Yeah, I saw those tears all the way up at the front of the church!
I did the ugly cry at my son’s wedding in August. Water proof mascara didn’t even help.
I’m practicing my movie-star cry for my next son’s wedding in December. Hopefully it will be cold enough to freeze the tears as they come out without doing too much damage…there are a few advantages to living in a cold climate!
I wish I could have been in there. I would have been “ugly crying” too…
