Meme

Debi tagged me for this meme, I’ve seen it on several other blogs.  I have only been knitting for such a short time that my answers may seem a bit "newbie" so forgive me….

What is your all time favorite yarn to knit with?
Of the one’s I’ve tried so far, I love Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for softness and I like Cascade 220 for the crispness of the stitches.

Favorite needles?

I just got my first Addi Turbo circular and I like it pretty well.

What’s the worst thing I ever knit?

The Abominable Snowman Sweater. Its huge, and overly fluffy, and pink.  I made it out of Lions Head something or other and I didn’t do a gauge swatch…. and I didn’t measure myself before starting…. blah blah blah.  Its huge.  And aweful.  I was just trying to see if I could make a sweater.  Well… I can… I won’t ever be seen in public in the thing but that’s beside the point.

Favorite pattern?

Rogue, hands down.

Most valuable knitting technique?

I’m not real good at it yet but it is splicing.   What a lovely concept, I get teary eyed just thinking about all those ends I won’t have to weave end.

Best knit book or magazine?

I like Interweave knits.

Favorite knit-a-long?

I’ve never done a knit-a-long.  I understand the basic concept but that’s about it.  I mean, does everyone meet at a certain website or something?  Or… do you just know you’re knitting this and so are a bunch of other people?  The knit-a-long concept is a bit over my newbie head.

Favorite knitblogs?

see side panel for some of my favorite reads

Favorite knitwear designer?

Debbie Bliss, Girl from Auntie

Knit item you wear most often?

This is Florida, its 80 degrees outside.  The only knit item I’ve had a chance to wear are  knitted socks.

Who to tag?

I think every blog I read has already had this meme on it.  So, I’m not going to tag anyone. I think it would be redundant.  If you read this blog and haven’t completed this meme, consider yourself tagged.

Toodles!
