Weekend Update….and Tuesday too.

We had a busy, busy weekend and we’re still beat tired.

We spent Friday evening decorating our booth and then spent all Saturday at the Lake Family Fest.  We got to meet a lot of folks from our community tell them about our business.

After the Lake Family Fest was over, we were beat tired.  But…we still had a boat ride to go on.  Dana’s dad was out of town on Father’s Day so we couldn’t celebrate with him.  And Dana’s mom’s birthday was yesterday so… we celebrated both events by taking a boat tour of Lake Dora and the Dora Canal.

We saw….

On Sunday, we did our usual church actiivties but we also had an event after church on Sunday.  I was brain dead but enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

Anna Grace was happy as can be.  My dad and his fiance sent her some new outfits and she couldn’t wait to wear her new clothes.

Anna Grace and her New Outfit

Earlier this month I decided that Anna Grace and I could celebrate each of the books that we read via our Five in a Row activites by planting a letterbox for each book.  So, yesterday I had to carve a stamp for the box.  So…in the interest of setting aside all of my pride… I am making a huge fool of myself and posting my efforts at carving my own stamp. (And all the folks who know me well are gasping and screaming Who let her play with sharp objects????!!!!!!?????)

We planted this box in honor of The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge by Hildegard Swift.   So… I “carved” a picture of a lighthouse.  And…I have much to learn. In other words… I really stink at this.

So…. I need lots of practice in the area of carving my own rubber stamps.  Lots and lots of practice….with sharp, pointy objects.

Tee Hee.

Today we headed in to town and planted our box…..at the Port of Mt. Dora (why yes…there is such a thing!).

I think we picked a good spot….right near this lighthouse.  :-)

So….what have y’all been up to????

  1. Hmmmmm, a letter box I should be able to find!!!! LOL and what is it with little girls and new clothes?? My baby girl would wear ALL her new clothes in one day if I let her!

and funny thing abt that lighthouse? I think that’s the same one I took progressive pregnancy pictures by.

  2. Sharp pointy objects! Yikes! Get out the band aids, tetanus, compresses, treatment materials for sucking chest wounds, tourniquets, and teach Anna Grace how to dial 911.

  3. I’m really wanting to get back into letterboxing. We’ll have to go see this on. I think we have the book too so maybe we’ll read it first. Is it listed at letterboxing.org?
