Eggs & Yarn

We had a nice, relaxed weekend.  In addition, our Easter celebrations at church, with friends and with family was just fantastic.

Anna Grace had a ball dyeing eggs.  I bought two different kinds of egg dyeing kits.  The traditional variety and one that you use little rollers to put the dye on the eggs.

Anna Grace: Master Egg-Dyer

Since we already had the kitchen messed up, I decided we should just keep going.  So I let Anna Grace dye some yarn in the leftover easter egg dye.  (We used Knitpicks sock yarn.) We also dyed some yarn using kool aid but I have no photos of that today.

Finished eggs and yarn in progress.

Meanwhile, I have been working on a new project.

Pinwheel Sweater

I am making the adult Pinwheel Sweater from Elann (free pattern, y’all!).  I am using Cascade 220.  I am supposed to change colors every 18 rows but I screwed up made a design decision to change colors every 10 rows instead.  I am really enjoying the pattern, it is totally fun.

And that’s about it around here.  I am in the process of writing my email to the therapist and taking care of that situation.  Dreading this but trying to handle it in a polite but firm manner.

Tomorrow is another day!!!!

  1. What beautiful eggs! Oh, yes…Gatorland…the wonderful sound of crushing bones of raw chickens and knashing of gator heads. Been there! Little kids and their friends are always so cute…you just wish that innocence would stay like that! Looks like everyone had a great time!

  2. Well I love the pinwheel sweater colors. It is lovely.

Many good thoughts for AG’s true evaluation. Our Public school system prescreens by 4 years of age. Does yours.

She’s a beautiful girl. How is it that we go so quickly back to our worst emotions. It is so hard to control. Don’t be hard on yourself.
