What’s Going On This Wednesday?

or… We Don’t Have Enough Going On to Call this Wednesday is for Works in Progress.

Some time in the past month the powers that be decided that our little home would become Germ Central.  Anna Grace got the flu, Dana got bronchitis, Dana gave the bronchitis to Anna Grace and it was my turn.  I ended up with a sinus infection and bronchitis.

Yep… that was the big surprise that these 2 cooked up for my 41st birthday… Mommy gets to stay in bed under the covers and enjoy the abundance of body aches.

What fun!

Anna Grace is doing well and returned to school yesterday.  Dana is almost at the end of his little bout and I’m starting to improve.  None of us have any energy however and AG and I have actually been taking a nap together in the afternoons.

I did a little knitting last week.  When I got sick I actually gave up on knitting (that’s right people…. I was too sick to knit…on my birthday!  That. just. stinks!!!!)

Here are some progress shots:

Auburn Camp Shirt 85 -90% Complete

The Auburn Camp Shirt has been blocked, seamed and now I just have to knit the collar and the cuffs.  I still haven’t chosen buttons either.  I tried it on, it does fit but again (story of my life!) I wish it was a smidge longer.  But, overall, I’m happy with it.

Tulip Socks: 70% Complete

I’m working away on the Tulip socks.  Finally picked that project up again yesterday and I was knitting on it while watching Dr. Who Season 1 on Netflix.  I am not much of a sci-fi fan (and I’m not even sure you could really classify this as sci fi) but the show is pretty fun and entertaining.  And compared to the other things I recently found availabe on Amish Cable in the afternoon…. it is just perfect.

Well, that’s about all that is going on around here.  Anna Grace’s birthday is coming up so I’m in the midst of planning her party.  And… where Dana’s job is concerned…why don’t we all just say it together, people….. “What job?”

And there ya have it.

Have a great day.
